Sterlite Power has recently won contracts amounting to Rs 1200 crore within its Global Products and Services (GPS) division. This latest achievement raises the cumulative order value for the GPS business to Rs 2700 crore. The GPS division is dedicated to producing sustainable, high-performance products and delivering advanced engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions. These new contracts reflect Sterlite Power’s commitment to expanding its capabilities and its influence within the global market.

Leadership and Vision for Global Positioning

Reshu Madan, CEO of Sterlite Power’s GPS division, emphasized the strategic importance of these accomplishments. With significant wins like India's first 144-fiber count Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) cable order, she noted that Sterlite Power is positioning itself as a top-tier player in the global wire and cable industry. The company’s goal is to secure a spot among the world's top 10 wire and cable producers.

High-Performance Conductors and OPGW Orders

A major portion of the new orders, totaling Rs 800 crore, involves high-performance conductors and OPGW cables. Domestically, Sterlite Power has secured contracts to supply these conductors for key green energy transmission projects, including transmission lines from Angul to Paradeep, Yalwar, and Runija to Indore. Internationally, the company has gained traction with contracts for high-performance, environmentally friendly products from markets in the United States, the European Union, Africa, and the Middle East. Additionally, Sterlite Power received a pioneering order from an Indian state utility for the nation’s first 144-fiber count OPGW cable, alongside export orders for OPGW cables destined for Europe and Africa. 

Power Cable Supply for State Utilities and PSUs

Sterlite Power has also secured orders worth Rs 380 crore for a variety of power cables, intended primarily for state utilities and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) across India. These orders underscore the company's growing presence and reliability in the domestic market for power cable solutions, aligning with its commitment to supporting national infrastructure projects.
