Metropolitan Stock Exchange (MSEI) will start futures and options trading on six stocks from October 28, 2026: Coromandel International, City Union Bank, Data Patterns, Karur Vysya Bank, Navin Fluorine and Syrma SGS. More competition is good for the market, but the real test is volume. F&O activity peaks on expiry day, and MSEI shares its expiry day with NSE.
In this video, we break down MSEI’s entry into equity derivatives. On October 15, 2026, MSEI issued circular MSE/TRD/19918/2026 after SEBI’s approval. It announced F&O contracts on six stocks (COROMANDEL, CUB, DATAPATTNS, KARURVYSYA, NAVINFLUOR and SYRMA), available for trading from October 28, 2026. The launch depends on the stocks meeting the quarter-sigma eligibility criteria, and lot sizes will be announced on October 27.
