Goa / Latur, India: A new chapter in Indian rail innovation unfolds as Kineco Limited, India’s leading composites and rail interiors manufacturer, announces a landmark partnership with Kinet Railway Solutions, the Indian manufacturer of electric passenger trains selected to build and maintain the prestigious Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains.
Under this binding contract, Kineco will design, develop, and deliver complete interior systems for the mock-up and two prototype Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains being built by Kinet at its advanced manufacturing facility in Latur, Maharashtra.
This partnership represents the beginning of a long-term collaboration on the 120-trainset (1,920 cars) Vande Bharat EMU project, which includes 35 years of maintenance, reflecting India’s commitment to world-class rail modernization.
Kineco’s flagship rail division, Kineco Global Rail, contributes extensive expertise in turnkey rail interiors, sanitary modules, vacuum systems, passenger doors, and front-end nose cones. As an IRIS-certified entity, the company has been at the forefront of transforming passenger experiences through design innovation, superior engineering, and safety-driven functionality.
The mock-up coach for the Vande Bharat Sleeper variant has already been fully furnished at Kineco’s Goa facility, showcasing cutting-edge design, comfort, and safety standards. It will soon be presented to Indian Railways for approval — a proud “Made in India” milestone demonstrating the synergy of technology and craftsmanship.
Kinet Railway Solutions was established to support the Vande Bharat initiative, one of India’s most ambitious railway modernization programs. Following an international tender, Kinet was chosen to manufacture and maintain 120 Vande Bharat sleeper trainsets.
The company’s state-of-the-art factory in Latur, along with maintenance depots in Delhi, Jodhpur, and Bengaluru, serves as an innovation hub expected to generate substantial employment, stimulate ancillary industries, and drive socio-economic development nationwide.
