Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) is set to unveil an AI-driven mobile application designed to elevate passenger experience and streamline airport operations. To bring this project to life, CIAL has invited agencies to submit expressions of interest for the app's design and deployment.
According to the tender details released by CIAL, the app will boast several key features: an AI chatbot module, a feedback and grievance management system, a flight status tracker, a smart baggage tracking system, personalized passenger engagement tools, and a system for tailored weather updates.
The AI chatbot will be capable of providing live flight updates and notifications for selected flights, and it will support both text and voice interactions. It will also assist passengers with inquiries related to immigration, customs, and airline information. Additionally, the AI platform will facilitate the booking of various airport services, such as prepaid and return taxis, meet-and-greet services, parking, dining, and shopping.
For baggage tracking, the app will utilize barcode reader technology, offering real-time status updates on luggage through mobile integration. To enhance passenger convenience, the app will use beacon technology to pinpoint passenger locations within the airport, enabling it to deliver personalized notifications, gate updates, and promotional offers.
Furthermore, the app will inform passengers of the current waiting times at various checkpoints within the airport, ensuring a smoother and more informed travel experience.
